The project from EPA in 2003 was conducted for the source reduction and health education of dengue vectors in Pingtung area. There are 613 counties and totally 30650 households being visited. Under 1250 man-work of this year, the 117905 containers were detected, in which 15% with water in them. However, the index of density of vector mosquites kept under level 1. In addition to the source reductiona and health education, we were involved in the eduction, symposiums as well as discussions held by local environment bureau, health bureau, and CDC. We also participated the consultation for the control of vector mosquitoes in Pingtung area.
